The Angleton Police Department was formed in 1953. At the time it was formed the police department consisted of the Chief of police and two patrolmen. The police department now has 37 sworn officers and 13 civilian personnel serving a population of nearly 20,000 residents.

The Angleton Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (ACPAAA) has pledged to assist the Angleton Police Department with purchasing updated equipment. To accumulate between $108,000 and $126,000 the Alumni will be offering personalized pavers to be placed in front of the Police Department around the flagpoles. This will become an area of quiet reflection. You can obtain an accident report for free as long as you have an e-mail address. Your email address will not be saved or used in any fashion outside of the context of sending you the requested report. You will need to send an e-mail to pbowman@angletonpd.net with the following in the subject line: Accident report request. State law requires that you provide the following information before a report can be released to you. This is in accordance with Texas Transportation code 550.065

1. The exact date of the accident
2. The specific address or hwy or street where the accident occurred
3. The name of any person involved in the accident

If you were given a report number by the officer please include that information with your request. You will receive your accident report back in a PDF File and there will be no charge to you.
